Jaye Elizabeth leads us in this workshop to explore our relationship to the erotic and celebrate self-expression. Using collage materials this workshop explores questions like:
- What is erotic to us?
- What makes us feel?
- What feels good?
- What does (our) pleasure look like?
Instead of trying to verbally explain our sensualities and sexualities, we will use the playful and symbolic qualities of collage to explore what is both intangible and felt.
Participants of this workshop are welcome and encouraged to attend the following week’s workshop: Uses of the Erotic: Poetry Workshop where you may use your visual creation to inspire your words.
Accessibility info: This class is held in-person. Masks are required at Self Serve, please follow all COVID/contagion protocols to help keep each other and our community safe. Our entrance & bathroom are accessible. Please refrain from wearing heavily scented products.
Jaye Elizabeth (they/she/whatever) is a poet, illustrator, professional pleasure seeker, and former Self Serve sex educator! Their practice connects language and art, the earth and the cosmos, erotics and education. They are a forever student (current subject areas include grief, disability justice, and the myths we make) and value the work of creating circles and containers for co-learning, unlearning, and collaboration.
