James Zacharias, Ph. D, LMFT

My goal as a therapist is to assist clients in creating a satisfying, productive life with minimal conflict. When clients come to me I take a brief history, assess the issues, and together we work out a plan for healing. Whenever possible I prefer to work with the partners involved. My focus is to enable each person to express their concerns and identify what they want to feel fulfilled. To achieve this, I provide support for each person without taking one side or the other.

During my experience as a therapist I have directed counseling services in Seattle and South Texas. In Denver, prior to moving to Albuquerque, I served on the faculty at the University of Denver. In this position I taught Couples Therapy and Sex Therapy in the Family Therapy Training Program.

The individuals and couples I see want to heal their relational issues. Many are grieving over the loss of significant people in their lives or the loss of earlier intimacy with their partner. To determine if I can assist, please call for a free phone consult.
