Pornotopia Film Festival Brings Porn Back to The Guild Cinema

After a triumphant victory at the New Mexico Supreme Court, Pornotopia Uncensored 2013 is just around the corner! In celebration, Self Serve is hosting a kick-off party on Oct. 26th at 8pm that will include a raffle, door prizes and a free pre-screening of the court approved porn fest the pornotopia committee has been planning. The one-day film festival will take place at the Guild Cinema on Friday, November 1st featuring erotic films like you’ve never seen them before.

Pornotopia is a film festival celebrating the beauty and diversity of sexuality. Imagine a world where erotic films don’t offend, but arouse. Where orgasms are real and filmmakers are independent. Pornotopia showcases films that keep it real, raw, tender and beautiful. In Pornotopia sex is fun, everyone gets off and pleasure is paramount.

Tickets are $10 and will go on sale Oct. 26th at Self Serve, 3904B Central Ave. SE in Nob Hill

To be screened:

FTM  & Beyond OMG – Beyond gender and infinitely sexy (4pm)

Rock Hard Gay Love – More men than you can shake your stick at (5:30pm)

Lust for Life – Scintillating scenes of heterosexual desire  (7pm)

Vulvalicious – From lesbian erotica to fists of furious lust (8:30pm)

Queer Mix Tape – A little something for everybody (and all their holes) (10pm)

Teach Me, Beat Me – Education, lubrication, domination, stimulation (11:30pm)

The Pornotopia Film Festival was a well-attended film festival in Albuquerque from 2007 to 2009.  As Director & Self Serve Co-Owner Matie Fricker explains, “Despite its controversy, Pornotopia has received overwhelming community support for being a festival whose aim is to change the way people see sexuality portrayed in film.” She adds, “Much like the environment at our shop Self Serve, Pornotopia features films promoting a positive, educational and empowering erotic experience.”

Self Serve thanks the Guild Cinema, NM ACLU, Free Radicals, Birdland, Courtney Trouble, Pink & White Productions, Lust Films, Sportsheets, OhMiBod, Thin King Press, our other sponsors and all of volunteers who make the festival possible.
