Learn to be a better ally and support sexual assault survivors. This class is for survivors and their friends, families & partners. Jimanekia is an assault survivor and sexuality educator devoted to supporting survivors, as well as supporting and building better allies within the community. We will cover what an ally is, how to be a better ally as well as different ways to give and find support in the community.
Our goals for the class: Provide a clear identity to what an Ally looks like
Provide tools to support survivors
Provide tools to navigating internal struggles when you are an ally
Support in expanding the ally community
Provide local and national resources
Jimanekia has worked in mental health for the last 10 years, which is where she saw the need for sexual education and sexual trauma support. This has led to her passion for assisting and supporting those that are sexual assault survivors and those without access to comprehensive sex education. Her compassion and passion for these populations has pushed me to continue building safe spaces for clientele, sharing education, and supporting their mental spaces. You can find her work at Traumaqueen.love
