If you’re curious about rope bondage, but don’t know where to start, this is the class for you. This class is "Quick & Dirty" in that you will learn only the very basics of safety, ropes and tools, and the ties that are fundamental building blocks to all rope bondage. Whether you're just dipping your toes in, trying something new on a budget, or dusting off an old skill our resident rope coach Stevie will help you in your learning and show you the ropes. *You are welcome to bring your own rope to practice with or you can borrow practice rope from us.
If you're looking for a more in-depth workshop on the art of Shibari check out their Shibari 101 course that goes much more in depth on the history as well as the practice of Japanese Shibari rope bondage.
Access Info: This class is held in-person and at the Self Serve store. This class does have a physical component, asking students to be able to reach their ankles from a seated position when practicing ties. Please let Self Serve staff know if you need any accommodations and alternative practice options can be given. Our entrance & bathroom are accessible. Please refrain from wearing heavily scented products. This class has a 16 person limit.
Stevie (they/them pronouns) is a sex educator and the store manager of Self Serve toys. They have experience working as an adult entertainer and pro dom and have studied and practiced Shibari for over 9 years.
